We are the Fortress Project.

About Us

We are great at building, and we are passionate about helping people. These ingredients are brought together in The Fortress Project, where we bring your dreams and vision for your home to life.

We’ll walk with you through every step of the building process so that you know exactly what is going on with your home. We partner with the best contractors in the industry and bring you the best service.

We are also committed to helping our community. As a 501c(3) organization, all the profit from our project goes to fund construction projects for families who have home repairs needs but are unable to get the repairs done in traditional ways. We identify people with construction needs, and organize contractors and volunteer teams to build solutions for these homes. We partner with churches and community members. This is one way we live out our faith in Jesus Christ.

Jack Jorgensen

Missions Pastor

Pastor Jack Jorgensen is a former St. Paul science teacher, and church volunteer. After 15 years he left the public schools to serve as Director of Youth Ministry for his church in Hudson, then as Interim Pastor. In 2017 he was called to pastor Trinity Lutheran Church of Birchwood, WI. Then, in the early spring of 2020, he was called to lead the missional ministry of The Fortress Project; an innovative non-profit construction company founded by Christians.

As Missions Pastor at The Fortress Project, he partners with local churches to discover vital home repair projects of homeowners, unable to help themselves, in their neighborhood. His goal is to cultivate a Christ-centered relationship with the homeowner. Then, organize groups of volunteers from the local church to meet the need. The purpose of Fortress ministry is to connect those in need with Christians who truly want to live as Jesus lived; putting God first and the needs of others in front of their own (Luke 10:27).

“By making a Christ-connection between community members and the church, the local church grows. In serving, members of the church are able to live out their faith. My job is to facilitate this. I’m grateful that I get to work with a company of Christians passionate about their relationship with the Lord; so much so, that they use the profits from general construction projects to fund material and ministry used to bless those less fortunate.
